Our First Metaverse Party
As a result of the shift from traditional online media use, to practically living on the internet - due to COVID, the Metaverse seemed to have gained a noticeable increase in popularity and momentum. Being in the web 3 community, we just had to try it out for ourselves. Fierce Studios held a NYFW Metaverse Party in Crypto Voxel, hosted by our friends at NFDaddys. Our holders get exclusive invites to parties happening in the NFT world.
Metaverse: what exactly is it and how does it work?
In a nutshell, the Metaverse is an augmented reality world that lets users interact, play, and experience virtual reality just like the real deal. The Metaverse was brought to life in the 2003 virtual world platform. Second Life, an alt-reality computer game, one of the more popular original examples of ‘Metaverse’. It’s a game where you control an avatar who can perform just about any task, such as building a house or getting married - think Sims. Using an avatar, it allows users to be represented in a three-dimensional world while still incorporating many aspects of reality and social media. Well-known modern Metaverse games include: The Sims, Minecraft, Roblox, Rec Room, etc.

Enough of the boring talk! Now that we know more about the Metaverse, let’s dive into what exactly happened in our first ever Metaverse Party👀
Fierce NFT holders were given free wearables to wear at the party, where their avatars dressed itself... how cool is that!? People were given the chance to show up to the party an hour early to learn how to use Fierce wearables and avatars. Most people used that time to talk and socialize with other people, navigate through controls, and more importantly… to dance!
We chose one RSVP from our Metaverse party to win a party favor that was sent to them IRL, just in time for the event. The winner was announced on our Discord.
The giveaways didn’t stop there… in addition to the previous two, we also gave away Fierce merch to three lucky winners and a luxury leather jacket piece by Madonna & Co. All RSVPs were automatically entered to win, the lucky winners were announced during the party!
In addition to giveaways, we had other things planned for Fierce members during the party. We watched 8 Fierce NFT models strut down our runway fashion show, heard a few words from our founders, held a fun trivia game where we asked a series of questions all relating to fashion, NFT’s, eth, and well… Fierce!
